I thought the Tele lawsuit basses from the late 1960's were the hardest ones to find but I believe we have a new heir to the throne here. I mean, I have never seen one of these in my life either in-person or in pictures. This is such a great-looking bass with its subdued 3-tone sunburst and sweeping f-hole. It's a really high-quality build and the set neck bears that out! It has a laminated maple body which is unbound and (2) quasi-staple pickups with surrounds. The controls are typical 4005 with two volumes, two tones and a master volume. The bass is very light at 6 3/4 lbs and very resonant. It actually sounds really good when plugged in. I think it's a shore scale but I forgot to measure the damn neck before I headed north. I'm prety sue it's mid-60's Japan but there are hints of Italian design as well. Includes the original case with formfit interior made exclusively just for this bass.
